Even if you’re unfamiliar with this huge multinational, chances are you’ve encountered products made by Celanese a dozen times today already. They make plastics and other specialty materials that are almost everywhere.
Celanese came to TBA Digital for help in showcasing the ubiquity of their products through a very specific venue: the Detroit Auto Show. Presented with an audience of motorheads, we created a digital model of a particular luxury car and then superimposed an Augmented Reality (AR) experience on the digital model.
Then we brought it to life on the tradeshow floor. Using iPads hosting our app, visitors were able to move around and inside the actual car, pointing the device’s camera wherever they wanted. As the user pans around the car, the app highlights all the components that have been made from Celanese materials. Touching the highlighted item brings up additional information about the material.
Celanese liked their new app so much that after the auto show, they made it available for download through the App Store and Google Play.
We’ve worked with some of the best. While TBA Digital most often provides its services to multinational companies in the healthcare sector, our clients have been known to make everything from microscopes to dog biscuits. Some are purely retail and others are industrial giants whose products can only be moved with a crane. Almost all of them came to us with the need to reach a particular market segment with a unique product or service.
