Target is continually renovating and improving their stores. Sometimes these are small jobs, such as creating an endcap display, or moving stock from one area of the store to another. At other times, these jobs may involve actual construction. Target wanted to improve their managers’ efficiency while tackling all of these jobs, and they asked us for help.
We proposed building an app for them from scratch. The result, after months of meetings and interviews with Target employees, was the Target Fuse App. This handy program can run on a tablet computer or a phone. It helps store managers and other employees to track all the moving parts of a job, from ordering construction materials to inventorying existing store stock. They can manage individual tasks, take and organize photos of the project’s progress, and store contact info for all the players involved.
Another of our clients, the regional power utility, saw the app and was so impressed that they asked us to make a version for them!
